Terms of Use

By signing up for the DNB Coach App or Platform, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use").

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the DNB Coach App and its content. By accessing and using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the services. DNB Coach reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Registration and Account Security

• Eligibility: The DNB Coach App is intended for medical students and professionals. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to create an account or make a purchase. The App is not directed to children.
• Account Creation: You can browse the free tier without an account. To save your progress, sync it across your devices, and access premium content, you sign in with your phone number (verified by a one-time code), or with Google or Apple. DNB Coach does not use or store account passwords. We reserve the right to request professional identification (e.g., Institutional ID or Medical Registration) to verify your eligibility as a medical student or professional.
• Personal Use: Your account is personal to you. You may not transfer it, sell it, or let anyone else sign in as you.
• Unauthorized Use: You must notify DNB Coach immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Suspension: DNB Coach reserves the right to suspend or revoke access in the event of misuse or violation of these terms without any refund.

3. License and Usage Restrictions

• Personal, Multi-Device Access: Your access is tied to your account, not to a single device. You may sign in on your own devices — including using both an Android and an iOS device — and your premium access and progress follow your account. Sharing an account with other people, or transferring it, is not permitted.
• Non-Transferable License: Upon purchase, DNB Coach grants you a non-exclusive, personal, and non-transferable license to view the content for educational purposes.
• Anti-Piracy Measures: You are prohibited from using mirroring devices, copying software, emulators, rooted/jailbroken devices, or any means of reproducing or distributing the content. DNB Coach reserves the right to place watermarks on content to protect against piracy.
• Prohibited Actions: Taking screenshots, screen recording, or scanning content will lead to an immediate ban without refund.

4. Payments, Validity, and Refunds

• Pricing: The price of courses and content may change. New question papers or updated solutions released after your purchase may require separate payment.
• Validity: Premium access runs for the billing period shown at the time of purchase. The Pro — Monthly subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel — see Section 5. Legacy one-time passes run to their stated end date and do not renew.
• Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are issued only in the limited cases set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy (duplicate payment, technical failure on our end preventing access, or a system error crediting the wrong plan). Exam date shifts, cancellations by official bodies, and user dissatisfaction are not refundable grounds. Purchases made through Apple are refunded by Apple alone; we cannot issue or deny those refunds.
• Termination: DNB Coach reserves the right to terminate accounts without refund for defamation, threats, or any behavior that violates our policies.

5. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

• Plan: Pro — Monthly. Each successful payment grants one month of premium access.
• Price: The price is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. On iOS it is displayed by the App Store in your local currency. Introductory pricing, where offered, applies to the first billing period only; the standard price applies from the next renewal onwards.
• Automatic renewal: The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Android: Billing runs on a UPI AutoPay mandate that you approve through PhonePe when you subscribe. You can cancel at any time in the app, under Plans > Manage subscription > Cancel subscription.
• iOS: Billing is handled by your Apple Account. Auto-renewal must be turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel under Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf.
• Access after cancelling: Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling never ends access early.
• Legacy one-time passes purchased before monthly subscriptions were introduced do not renew and expire on their stated end date.
• Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• "As-Is" Basis: All content is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy with doctor-reviewed answers, DNB Coach does not warrant that the content will be error-free. Medical knowledge is subject to change; Users are responsible for cross-verifying answers with official textbooks.
• Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, DNB Coach's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the current subscription. We shall not be liable for any exam failure, loss of career opportunities, or clinical errors.

7. Intellectual Property

All reviewed answers, software, and underlying code is the property of DNB Coach. You may not use any automated systems (robots, spiders, or offline readers) to access or scrape data from the platform. Any attempt to reverse-engineer the app or circumvent our security measures will be prosecuted under the Information Technology Act and Indian Copyright Act.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DNB Coach from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from your violation of these Terms of Use or misuse of the platform.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and DNB Coach. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Any cause of action must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Grievance Officer will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and endeavour to resolve them within 30 days.
